Unlike approaches based on encapsulation and landfill, the result of the process applied in AMIANTOP is founded on the irreversible elimination of the material’s hazardous properties, acting on its physical nature and definitively closing the cycle of asbestos-associated risk.
As a result of treatment using FS Green technology, the treated material loses the fibrous structure that constitutes the basis of asbestos’ hazard. From a physical and functional perspective, the treated material no longer behaves as asbestos and ceases to exist as such, eliminating its capacity to generate risk to public health.
This outcome represents a fundamental difference compared to traditional models, in which the material retains its hazardous properties and the risk remains contained, but not eliminated.
